Robert Schuller Ministries, Church With No Walls

I just arrived back to San Jose' del Cabo, Mexico where we caught the tail-end of a hurricane.  The weather and the waves were pretty wild for a couple of days.  Our harbor here where we live was closed because of the big surf breaking inside the jetty!   I heard from people back in Orange County that the waves were huge up there too, to the extreme that Newport Harbor was closed as well.  Amazing!

Donna and I checked-in four large boxes of fabric on the flight down to Los Cabos this time.   Our son Anthony came down for a vacation so he helped transport the boxes as well.    The fabrics will be used by a local charity which is also the place where our Sunday morning "Gathering" in Puerto Los Cabos currently meets on Sunday mornings.  You can click on this link to learn more about this non-profit, "Sahuaro." It is awesome!
We meet in their offices thanks to one of our attendees, Caroline Wilson, is an executive director for this organization which benefits women and young people.  We were excited to help transport the fabric (shown above) so it can be used for sewing dolls, stuffed animals and various other items to be sold at the local hotels and outdoor marketplaces in the area.

Thank you Larry Rogers and Cheryl Cohen for taking the time out of your vacation in Newport Beach to go to the fabric district in Los Angeles.  You hand selected and negotiated prices on these fun fabrics and yarn!  Many people's lives will be enriched and blessed because of you!  I can't wait to see what can be made from all of this.

This is just one of the many projects the Robert Schuller Ministries, Church With No Walls is involved in.   If you are in the Los Cabos area plan on joining us on Sunday at 10am for "The Gathering."  We meet in the Sahuara offices so click on the above link for more information.

**Also, remember to join us on September 15th for "The Call" which is held on the 15th of each month at 6pm Pacific Time.  All you need to do is to dial 530-881-1300 and key-in 642848#.  We meet for a little under an hour and we have a great time praying together, reading scripture, and talking about how God is impacting our lives and the lives of others around the globe.

People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them.  When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.  I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."  And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them.   Mark 10:13-16

  1. Robert, I like to read your blog. Spontaneous crossing my mind. Don't you have Charity infront of your "house-door"? I pers. have! - We here have a revormed Paster (similar to Bobby) now ab. 87. He looks for people in need in Zurich where he lives.
Amen. I appreciate when you have the courrage to tell your opinion here! Thanks and Blessings.

  2. A gr8 outreach project, Robert. As these women learn to sew, it reminds me of that saying " Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and he can feed himself for life ". These women, so impoverished and often not educated, are in real need of a helping hand which your Ministry is extending with love.

    God is Blessing all, always

PS Canadian Feed the Children Foundation has a similar program my wife's quilting group participates in, whereby quilters donate extra material, needles, thread spools, scissors etc, that are then packaged up and sent across the world to impoverished areas that persons can learn and earn or make clothes or other needs for themselves.
