He Cares For The One Lost

“Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Doesn’t she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it?  And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.’ In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
Luke 15:8-10

A few years ago my wife and I attended a friends “Pirate” party. Everyone dressed

up like Pirates and the tables were decorated with Pirate Booty. After the party my

friend gave me some of the decorations for my grandkids to play with. They have

dressed up like pirates and played with the “treasure chest” ever since.

Recently my grandson found a “gold” piece at his home. He was very excited about

finding a lost coin and was very intent on returning it to the treasure chest. The next

time he came by the house, he ran to the toy cupboard, found the chest and

reverently returned the coin to its proper place.

It reminded me of the parable of Jesus. The woman looked everywhere for the lost

coin and when she had found it was overjoyed.

Knowing how God cares about the lost, when I was the senior pastor of the

Crystal Cathedral,  I designed a “Ticket to Heaven.” We gave away nearly 1 million.

I ran across some of those the other day and was reminded of how simple it is to accept

 the grace of God.

Finding the lost coin is about those whose discover the love of God. “There is

rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

I have designed and ordered new “Tickets to Heaven.” If you would like some please

let me know. My first order will only be 1000. If I need more I will buy order more. I

am hoping that I will need to order 10,000 next time and 100,000 the next. Your

donations will allow me to give these away by the 100’s. Thank you for all you do for

this ministry to save lives.
